By using the GSF Site, you consent to this transfer, retention, and processing of your information in the United States.
Information that We Collect GSF collects two categories of information from visitors to the Site: personal information and non- personal information. Personal information consists of information that can identify you as an individual. Non-personal information is information that does not reveal your personal identity.
GSF collects your personal data when you voluntarily give it to us via email, personal interaction, form submissions, grant activities, events or another direct contact from you. By transmitting information or content to GSF, you grant GSF a perpetual, royalty-free, irrevocable license to use such information or content. No personally identifiable information is collected about you without your knowledge. We may also collect aggregate information about website use, without identifying information, such as which pages and sections are most popular to our users so that we may improve our Site.
How this Information is Used GSF may use the information that is voluntarily shared with us to our web content and email outreach. We also use the information you provide through form submissions, emails, and another personal contact for internal administrative purposes, to communicate with grant applicants, and to evaluate whether an applicant will be awarded one of our grants.
Sharing Information with Third Parties GSF does not sell or trade any of your information, although we may share aggregate information without any identifying content to third party companies in order to improve our services or to advance our mission. In addition, we require that any outside company with which we contract to agree to keep confidential all information we share with them and to use this information only to perform their contractual obligations to us.
Security of Your Information We take precautions to protect your information. GSF stores the personal information we collect using reasonable physical, technical and administrative safeguards to secure data against foreseeable risks. In addition, we exercise reasonable care to provide a secure transfer of information between your computer and our servers. Sensitive information that we collect is encrypted before it is transmitted to us. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and “https” at the beginning of the address of the Web page. Despite our precautions, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our Site or that our security measures will prevent third-party hackers from illegally obtaining information. Accordingly, any such transmission of personal data is at your own risk.
