Tribute to Dr. Jane Goodall

Our hands are over our hearts as we remember and pay tribute to Dr. Jane Goodall, a friend to Giant Steps Foundation and the world’s champion for animals.

Jane was a beacon of compassion, courage, and scientific curiosity. With nothing but a notebook and binoculars, she ventured into the forests of Gombe and transformed our understanding of the natural world. Her groundbreaking work with chimpanzees revealed their deep emotional lives, tool use, and social complexity—blurring the line between humans and other animals.

But Jane was more than a scientist; she was a tireless advocate for the Earth. Through her Roots & Shoots program and global conservation efforts, she inspired countless people to act for animals, people, and the planet.

Her legacy is not just in what she discovered, but in the hope she spread. With grace and quiet strength, Jane Goodall showed us that every individual—human or animal—matters and every action counts. The world is better because she dared to observe, to care, and to speak out.
